Anzor stock a wide range of 316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope (Stainless Cable), sold by the reel or per metre. For strength please check the breaking load data to ensure you are ordering the correct diameter and type. Also see the Wire Rope construction types. The three main types of wire stocked by Anzor are;
1/19 Stainless Steel Wire Rope (Stainless Cable)
1/19 wire rope; ideal for straight line rigging such as horizontal wire balustrading used with swage fittings. Described as rigid wire and made of 19 strands of 1 wire woven together, which creates a very rigid wire rope unable to go round bends and has very little stretch, commonly used in swaging applications.
7/7 Stainless Steel Wire Rope (Stainless Cable)
7/7 wire rope; described as semi-flexible and made of 7 strands of 7 wires woven together creating medium flexibility, OK for going round bends and has a medium amount of stretch.
7/19 Stainless Steel Wire Rope (Stainless Cable)
7/19 wire rope; ideal for going round bends such as the turns required when crimping wire ends or needed with vertical wire balustrading systems. Described as flexible wire and made of 7 strands of 19 wires woven together creating a very flexible wire ideal for going round bends much easier to work with than the other two options. 7/19 wire is the most commonly used wire for balustrades.
All wire rope stocked by Anzor is 316 grade however due to the nature of woven wire it is prone to tea staining without good cleaning and maintenance. All wire supplied by Anzor has load data available, and for any applications where wire strength is critical please check the breaking load data to ensure you are ordering the correct diameter and type.
